Wikinomics Invites Readers to a Socialtext Wiki to Collaborate

The authors of Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything

-- one of the fastest-selling new business titles -- are inviting

readers to help write the last chapter on a public wiki. The wiki,

provided by Socialtext, goes live today on www.wikinomics.com.

A brilliant primer on one of the most profound changes of our time,

"Wikinomics" explains how deep changes in technology, demographics,

and business enable people to participate in the economy like never

before.

Authors and New Paradigm executives Don Tapscott and Anthony D.

Williams conclude the book with an "unwritten chapter" called "The

Wikinomics Playbook" that directs readers to the Web site where they

can add or edit entries, discuss their views, or simply read what

others have written.

Wikis are becoming increasingly popular in large-scale research

projects, including a number of business books. Stanford Law School

Professor Lawrence Lessig is also using a Socialtext wiki to engage

readers in helping to research and edit "Code v. 2," the latest

iteration of his best-selling book.
